TOPIC: KNOWLEDGE/REVELATION
TEXT : 2 Peter 1:5
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge
Memory Verse: Galatians 2:2
And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.
FOCUS
Today we are looking at Knowledge/ Revelation as another booster of faith. Knowledge comes by reading, by going through what you have listened to. Faith cometh by hearing and hearing the word of God but you can’t understand what you have read, if knowledge is not at work.
Until you sit down to know, it may not profit you. When it comes to revelation, it is divine, not physical. Revelation is God revealing His plans and will towards you. I want you to know that every man that has a triumphing faith is someone that something has been revealed to. Behind every exploit in life, is a deep revelation of God’s word; until it is revealed, it cannot be received.
Don’t be deceived, everyone you see succeeding today either in marriage, ministry, academics and so on, there’s a knowledge and revelation that is opened to them, that makes them to do exploit. If you are not careful, you might mistake it for luck and in this kingdom luck does not exist. Everything we get is by knowledge and revelation.
No wonder, we are admonished to pay attendance it reading and exaltation. Faith is a product of knowledge and revelation and we can’t know until we sit down to read.
LESSON
Daniel 9:2 In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
You can’t discover what you have not read; life is in chapters and verses, you have to consciously look for the chapter that is written concerning you. Daniel found this and found rest, he came out boldly and that was why he could rescue his people.
God is not a magician, what you have not study you can’t take delivery if it. Go for books, go for knowledge that is why Apostle Paul said ” give attendance to reading ” pay attention to it so that your profiting can appear to all. And as you do that, the Lord bless you, gives you peace by all means. Don’t forget that those that will understand mysteries must be students of the world; what you don’t read, you won’t know.
Stop depending on second class information, give attendance to reading. We have the internet and all manner of access to information that we can employ, to know better. Find out what is written, find out about timings so that you don’t miss it. Give attendance to reading.
