TOPIC: TRUST
TEXT: Hebrews 11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
Memory Verse : Psalms 125:1 They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
FOCUS
Today, we are looking at trust as one of the access to faith. How did Abel come about offering a more excellent offering? He trusted the Lord so he gave his best. When God is at work in a life, you will never have a reason to doubt Him. The reason people doubt God is because they never trusted Him.
God is in the business of raising people but will you trust him enough, will you believe him? Abraham trusted God so he gave God an excellent seed. Those that trust in God, the bible says will be like mount Zion that can never be removed. Many people today cannot trust God with their seed, they doubt; what if it doesn’t produce but what if it brings forth hundred folds.
God is in the business of blessing people but you have to trust Him. Trust is bigger than faith but you need faith to put your trust in God. So, faith and trust works hand in hand, you can’t separate one from the other. Faith is all it takes to trust God.
LESSON
Psalms 91:2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
In this world, we have many people to trust but you have to consciously tell yourself that, it is God you will trust. You have to deliberately and intentionally tell yourself; I am trusting God because He is able to see you through. Many people are offended in God but cannot trust God; it can’t work.
God wants us to trust Him absolutely. When we trust God, we are telling Him that we have no alternative. When we don’t trust Him, we are telling Him that we have alternatives. How far can you go without God the owner of heaven and earth, the giver of life, the one that owns everything; you can’t go far without Him.
Don’t let the devil deceive you by telling you that you have alternative, you don’t have. The more you trust Him, the more He shows Himself in your life. Most times these alternatives leads to short ends. As we round up on this series, I want you to tell yourself; I will trust God. When you trust Him, your faith will grow and He will lift you beyond your imaginations.
The blood of Abel still speaks; because the sacrifice of Abel was the sacrifice of faith and also a sacrifice of trust. Abel had no reason to doubt, so he gave his best. Trust God and your faith will never fail you. Amen
PERSONAL CONFESSION
Father I refuse to trust in chariots of men in 2023. I will trust absolutely in the living God.
PRAYER FOCUS
I receive grace to trust in Jehovah Yaweh in 2023.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Until you trust God you can’t be trusted by God.
Nothing gives Faith stamina like absolute Trust in God.
