TOPIC: GRATITUDE DEEPENS YOUR LOVE FOR GOD
TEXT : John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Memory Verse : Zechariah 9:17 For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids.
FOCUS
Today, we are looking at how gratitude increases your love for God. Our opening scripture alone is enough to make you grateful to God forever. I know God is not a wicked God, He sent His son to redeem the world not to condemn the world. So, that alone should make you excited and grateful to God, exalt Him above every other Name.
God is always mindful of us , He is a loving father and blesses us with everything we desire. We must always think and meditate on how much He loves us. Can you imagine a man who has only one son and is ready to give him for people. That is a great love.
I want us to take time this morning and appreciate God for giving us His son not to condemn us but to save us so that we can become co heirs, so that we can look at God and say yes, He is our father. So that the Blessings 9f God can come upon us the Gentiles, then we can be partakers of His divine nature.
God is bringing us to the common wealth of Israel that we that are nobody, He now made us His own by sending His son to us; what manner of love is this. There’s no man that can love and will give you His only child to die for you. Thank you Lord for the sacrifice, for going all the way for us, for paying the debt you did not owe, we appreciate you!
LESSON
Psalms 107:31 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
Christ paid the debt that He did not know when we were even acquiring them, He paid it so that we can become partakers of His divine nature. The only thing God requires from you is your sacrifice and it is the sacrifice of Thanksgiving, the sacrifice of praise, sacrifice of rejoicing that yes somebody has paid the debt, I am so glad that Jesus loves me.
Anytime I remember this, it makes me so excited and happy about God that a God that can come down to the level of man, allowing man to partake of His divine nature, partake of His blessing, we became co heirs, no longer slaves, no longer outside His divine will. Now that we know He first love us, all we have to do is to thank Him. The more thanksgiving, the more our love is deepened for Him.
I want you to know this morning that God loves you, you are His beloveth. The more you think about this, the more His love is shared in your heart and when you begin to understand that magnitude of His love, you begin to see the power of sacrifice.
Go ahead this morning and just thank God, for keeping you from January till now, for making you to experience His goodness, showing you His love and kindness, for sending His son to be born in a manger so that He can use His wisdom to confound the wise. No wonder we became His own children. Compliment of the season!
